Rune Factory, a brand for runners, is launching its own shoe line, Runners Shoes, in conjunction with Adidas.
The line, named after the mythical animal that was said to run on the ground, will be available in three colors, Black, Gold, and Silver, according to a press release from the company.
Rune Factory has had a presence in the United States for more than a decade, having sold its shoes to athletes including former NFL players, baseball players and soccer players.
The shoes have a traditional silhouette and a neutral toebox with a black heel tab.
The footwear will be sold through the brand’s retail partners, Nike and Adidas.
Runes is the latest brand to try to capitalize on the growth of running, with shoes and apparel ranging from running apparel to shoes for athletes to wear on the street.
Runners shoes have been available in the U.S. since 2010 and Nike has released several models, including the Nike Freestyle 5.1, the Nike Lunge 5.0 and the Nike Zoom 3.0, in the past two years.
