Running in the Moon: The Astros in the Lunar Eclipse article The Houston Astros are hoping for a moon eclipse next month, a day when the moon will appear to be completely dark.
The Astros plan to wear a red and white striped shirt to commemorate the lunar eclipse.
The team has not yet announced how many times it will take to run on the moon.
The Houston Astros’ uniform will be designed by the team’s Design & Color Design Group.
The uniforms were designed by a group of designers including Rick Hildreth, Jim Furlong and Joe D’amato.
“We’re hoping for an eclipse to be as peaceful as possible,” said Mike Hulsey, the team president and chief operating officer.
“It would be nice to have a little bit of light pollution.
We want to make sure it’s a nice day, too.”
The Astros are not the only team hoping for the Lunar eclipse.
Another team, the Miami Marlins, will wear a bright red shirt and cap with a moon image on the front.
“It would have been cool to see a moon as dark as the one on the flagpole at Marlins Park,” Marlins general manager Dan Jennings said.
“I’m sure it’ll be a different experience.
But it’s not like we’re in space, and it’s certainly not like the Moon.
You’d have to be lucky.”
The Marlins plan to take a little extra precaution by wearing helmets that will have a “Luna Eclipse” badge on the side.
The team plans to play a baseball game on Friday.
