Breitbart News reported Thursday that the top 10 candidates for the Republican nomination in 2020 have been picked by the RNC and that Donald Trump has been the top choice of the Republican National Committee.
It also said that former Florida Gov.
Jeb Bush has emerged as the frontrunner for the nomination, with former Arkansas Gov.
Mike Huckabee and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson also mentioned.
The top ten candidates for 2020 have also been selected by the Republican Leadership Council, a group of leading conservatives that includes former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Florida Sen. Rick Perry, New Jersey Gov.
Chris Christie, former Pennsylvania Gov.
Tom Corbett, and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
Former Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey is the top-ranked GOP candidate for 2020, followed by Sens.
Rand Paul (Ky.), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Ted Cruz (Texas), and Mike Lee (Utah).
Former Pennsylvania Gov., Sarah Palin is the runner-up.
The top five Republican candidates for 2016 are former House Budget Committee chairman Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), Texas Rep. Ron Paul (Texas) and Ohio Gov.
John Kasich.
Former New York Gov.
George Pataki is the No. 2 GOP candidate, followed closely by Sens, Marco Rubio and Rand Paul.
Former Pennsylvania Sen., Pat Toomay is the third-place Republican in the race.
